“Piano Works Archive” is a collection of my piano compositions—quite literally, an archive of sorts. Recently, while engaged in new creative endeavors, I’ve also found myself looking back more often on the music of my past. As I listened again to my early works—pieces that once felt raw or imperfect—I found that they now spoke to me with a quiet warmth, as if gently reaching out to who I am today. That sense of reunion led me to carefully revisit and bring these pieces back into the world. Beginning with Tiny Seed, the theatrical score that marked a turning point in my musical journey, I’ve composed and provided music in various contexts over the years. Yet, many of these works remained unreleased or dormant as recordings. This time, I’ve gathered them into a cohesive flow and recompiled them into this new series. The collection is structured around three themes—Theatrical, Impromptus, and Poem or Literary—and will be released as a trilogy. --- 「Piano Works Archive」は、僕のピアノ作品を編纂した、文字通り"アーカイブ"のような作品集だ。 近ごろ新たな創作に取り組む一方で、ふと、自分の過去と向き合う時間も増えてきた。 そうして改めて昔の曲たちに耳を傾けてみると、当時は未熟だったり拙かったりしたはずの音楽が、どこか今の自分に優しく語りかけてくれるような気がして、久しぶりにその旋律たちが愛おしく感じられた。 そんな再会をきっかけに、これらの曲をもう一度、丁寧に紐解いて世に出したいと思うようになった。 自分の転機となった劇伴作品「Tiny Seed」を皮切りに、これまでさまざまなかたちで音楽を提供してきたが、音源としては埋もれたままのものも少なくなかった。 今回、それらを一つの流れとして整理しなおし、作品集として新たに編み直すことにした。 本シリーズは3つのテーマに分かれ、「Theatrical」「Impromptus」「Poem or Literary」という三部作としてのリリースを予定している。
