This project is a college basketball heritage–inspired graphic T-shirt concept honoring one of the most remarkable seasons in NCAA basketball history.
The design takes inspiration from the historic 1976 championship run by the legendary team from Indiana University. That unforgettable season ended with the team finishing undefeated and winning the national title in the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament.
Design highlights include:
Bold “1976 – Number 1” championship typography inspired by vintage collegiate apparel
Retro basketball graphics referencing classic hardwood court aesthetics
Distressed textures to create an authentic vintage sports merchandise feel
Balanced layout reminiscent of historic championship memorabilia
The concept celebrates the spirit of perseverance, teamwork, and excellence that defined the 1976 season, widely remembered as one of the greatest achievements in college basketball.
Rather than reproducing official team logos or protected tournament graphics, the design focuses on original typography and vintage-inspired sports elements that evoke the era and its legacy.
