Book Summary as Cheat Sheets for Life

flier helps readers discover good books by providing book summaries. Generally, highly motivated businesspeople use it to acquire education and skills during their spare time, such as while commuting. You can read a business book in 10 minutes instead of 4 to 6 hours.

Most Japanese adults do not read many books, according to studies. People rarely read on trains, as bookstores are closing one after another.

Using Flier, people can get back into the habit of reading. People think that if they only read summaries, they won't read books anymore. In fact, the opposite is true. People will buy books if they find them interesting after reading the summary.

As a writer and editor, I strive to write excellent summaries. In order to understand the content of a book, one must not only understand its structure but also become familiar with the field itself. Due to this, I read many books every day. Choosing good books was also important to me because Flier only introduces one book daily.

In my six years at Flier, I learned that books are an aspect of "life strategy books." Making a book takes time. It can take six months to a year, or even ten years in some cases. Authors carefully edit their lives into books so readers can experience their lives in two or three hours. In my opinion, books are the only medium that is as efficient at learning and as effective at "leverage" as books do.
