day's eye - Tidal Green

約一年半、Tidal GreenでSNS運用と広告マーケターとしてインターンを行っていました。（Tidal Greenは生分解可能のプラントベースiPhoneケースを販売する会社です。原料の80％に小麦が使われています。）

2022年にロシアのウクライナ侵攻が始まり、私たちに「何ができるのだろう」と考えたとき、何もできない・助けられないもどかしさ。

「平和」を願うことしかできませんでした。

そんな時、私が描いた「デイジー」が新商品のデザインに採用されました。「デイジー」の花言葉は、「愛」「平和」。

このケースを手にする度に、平和であることの幸せを、そしてこの平和をなくしてはいけないという思いを、何より、ウクライナの方々のために祈れたら、と即決で新しいデザインは決まりました。

しかし「商品名」が決まりません。そんな時、「デイジー」の由来が日が上ると花を開き夜になると花を閉じるところから「day's eye（＝日の眼）」であるということを知りました。

デイジーの花のように、人々が恐怖に怯えずに平和を感じながら、よく眠り・明るく朝を迎えることができるような世の中を願って、この「day's eye」を商品名にすることに決めました。

平和への希望を捨てない私たちの思いを込めて、願いを込めて。「day's eye」はこのように誕生いたしました。

I interned in social media management and advertising marketing at Tidal Green for about a year and a half. (Tidal Green is a company that sells biodegradable plant-based iPhone cases, with 80% of the materials derived from wheat.)

In 2022, when the Russia-Ukraine conflict began, we were faced with the question of "What can we do?" The frustration of feeling unable to do anything or provide assistance was overwhelming. All we could do was wish for "peace."

During that time, a design I had created, the "Daisy," was chosen for a new product design. The Daisy symbolizes "love" and "peace."

Every time we held this case in my hands, we couldn't help directly but feel the happiness of peace and the firm belief that we must not lose this peace, especially for the people of Ukraine. With that in mind, they quickly decided on the new design.

However, the product name was yet to be determined. At that moment I learned that Daisy's name comes from the fact that it opens during the day and closes at night, hence "day's eye." Drawing inspiration from Daisy's characteristics, we decided to name the product "day's eye."

This name represents a world where people can feel peace without fear, sleep well, and greet bright mornings like Daisy's flower.

With our unwavering hope for peace and heartfelt wishes, "day's eye" was born to represent our feelings.
