本作品はコメディ作品ではあるが、演出方針としてはリアリズムを重視していたため、音響についても、いかにリアルな音量や音像で表現できるかに注力した。

たとえば、テレビを見るシーンでは、実際にはテレビを舞台上に設置せず、「客席にテレビがある」という設定のもと、俳優が客席側を見ながらテレビを見ている演技を行った。その演出を成立させるために、音の出力位置にも工夫を凝らし、客席の下にスピーカーを仕込むことで、観客がまるでテレビの音が客席から鳴っているように感じられる音響設計とした。

結果として、舞台空間をより広く活用することができ、非常にユニークで効果的な音像表現を実現できた。

Although this piece is a comedy, the direction aimed for realism, and accordingly, the sound design focused on how to express realistic sound levels and spatial positioning.

For example, in a scene where the character watches television, there was no actual TV set on stage. Instead, it was staged as if the television were located within the audience seating area. The actor performed by looking toward the audience, as though watching a TV in that direction. To support this illusion, speakers were installed underneath the audience seats, so that the sound would appear to be coming from the television’s supposed location.

As a result, the spatial use of the theater was significantly expanded, and a unique and engaging sound image was successfully created.
