In this piece, I attempted to express through music the journey of a heart that experiences separation from a loved one, but believes in the permanence of that bond. I attempted to depict with melody and harmony the feelings for a loved one that are as far away as the Andromeda Galaxy, but which certainly exist.
この曲は、大切な人との別れを経験しながらも、その絆の永続性を信じる心の旅路を音楽で表現しようと試みました。アンドロメダ銀河のように遠く、でも確かに存在する愛する人への思いを、メロディーとハーモニーで描き出そうとしました。
The lyrics contrast the changing emotions of the passage of time with the strength of the unchanging bond. The phrase “You are my Andromeda” expresses the deep feeling that no matter how far apart you are, the other person remains a beacon in your life.
歌詞では、時の流れの中で変わりゆく感情と、変わらない絆の強さを対比させています。「君は僕のアンドロメダ」というフレーズには、どんなに離れていても、相手が自分の人生の道標であり続けるという深い想いを込めました。
The melody skillfully moves back and forth between minor and major keys to express the complex emotions of nostalgia and hope. Especially in the chorus section, we tried to create a sense of hope for the future by using an ascending melody line.
メロディーは、懐かしさと希望が入り混じった複雑な感情を表現するため、マイナーキーとメジャーキーを巧みに行き来させています。特にサビの部分では、上昇するメロディーラインを用いることで、未来への希望を感じさせるよう心がけました。
In the bridge section, the tempo is slightly slowed down to create a more introspective atmosphere. Here, I tried to express a sense of affirmation to myself for overcoming past difficulties and sorrows, as well as gratitude to those who supported me.
ブリッジセクションでは、テンポをやや落とし、より内省的な雰囲気を醸し出しています。ここでは、過去の困難や悲しみを乗り越えてきた自分自身への肯定感と、支えてくれた人への感謝の気持ちを表現しようとしました。
In terms of instrumentation, we used many soft string-like tones to create an expansive soundscape reminiscent of a starry sky. At the same time, we attempted to express intimacy and warmth with the sound of the piano.
楽器編成においては、ストリングスのような柔らかな音色を多用し、星空を連想させるような広がりのあるサウンドスケープを作り上げました。同時に、ピアノの響きで親密さと温もりも表現しようと試みています。
Through this song, we hope that each listener will be reminded of the “Andromeda” in his or her heart, that is, the precious existence that supports our hearts even when we are apart. We have also included a message of hope that our hearts are connected beyond separation and distance.
この曲を通して、聴く人それぞれの心の中にある「アンドロメダ」、つまり離れていても心の支えとなる大切な存在について思いを馳せてもらえたら幸いです。また、別れや距離を超えて心は繋がっているという希望のメッセージも込めました。
It would be my greatest pleasure as a composer if “The Bonds of Andromeda” could light a warm light in the hearts of listeners and give them courage and hope as a hymn to their loved ones who have overcome the joys and sorrows of life together.
