Mami Osugi is a Tokyo-based freelance fashion journalist and editor. She studied fashion design at Bunka Gakuen University and fashion journalism at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York. She then spent nine years as a reporter at WWD JAPAN, covering designers as well as the bag and shoe markets. She also reported from the New York, London, Milan, Paris, and Tokyo fashion weeks. In 2019, she began covering femtech, and in February 2020 she produced two femtech-focused issues of WWD JAPAN. She went freelance in August 2021 and now writes and edits across both fashion and femtech. Since 2022, she has been a part-time lecturer at Bunka Gakuen University. In 2023, she joined the Tokyo Fashion Week Executive Committee and became a femcare advisor to MUJI.
