From the weaving room in the back of the exhibition hall, you can hear the sound of artisans at work, thumping away. It takes about four months to complete a single piece. Each piece is woven by a single artisan from start to finish. “We can recognize by looking at it that it was made by my great-grandfather." Many lovers of the Nabeshima Dantsu that have been passed down from generation to generation come to her for advice, and she maintains their Nabeshima Dantsu.
